Fairfax Parade

JUNE 13th, 10 AM SHARP!
An annual tradition, the whole town comes out and lines the streets for this one-of-a-kind parade that puts the FUN in FUNKY.
The Parade kicks off at the Fairfax theater and makes its way through downtown Fairfax. It officially starts at the Fairfax Theater, turns on to Bolinas Road, and ends on Park Road. It's usually about an hour and a half long.

Fairfax Square Dance
Did you know dances were held regularly in the Pavilion since the 1930’s for a variety of fundraising activities and ways to help the community connect. The original building was built in 1875 as a DANCE PAVILION by the railroad.
We are opening the doors again to hold a Square Dance Night for all ages.
So, grab your family, your partner or come on down by yourself to enjoy what will surely be a festive evening of movement, laughter and joy.

Warm up winter with the Fairfax Soup Walk, a self-guided soup tasting event that brings the community into local restaurants throughout Fairfax during a slower season. Explore downtown Fairfax and the Sir Francis Drake / Center Blvd area while sampling seasonal soups and supporting local businesses.
How It Works
Pick up your bracelet and event map at check-in in the parkade from 2 to 5 PM. Event starts at 3 PM.
Walk between participating restaurants at your own pace
Enjoy soup tastings during the event window from 3 to 6 PM

Heartwood – Handmade Felt Ornaments
Heartwood will be selling their beautiful felt ornaments — each one crafted with care and full of charm. Swing by to pick up a sweet keepsake or stocking stuffer.
RVC – Popcorn Bar with Toppings
Ross Valley Charter is rolling in hot with a build-your-own popcorn bar. Classic popcorn + toppings galore. Kids love it, adults “pretend it’s for the kids,” and everyone walks away happy.
San Domenico School – Facepainting
San Domenico students are teaming up for festive facepainting — a sweet little moment of magic in the middle of the Market. Stop by and let the holiday creativity flow.

Yes, really — The Grotto is rolling in a mobile sauna for the Winter Market. Warm up, chill out, or just enjoy the steam drifting down Bolinas. It’s peak Fairfax energy. Bring a bathing suit and towel!
Fishmonger Don – DJ + Oysters
Fishmonger Don is bringing the good vibes and the oysters. Live DJ sets between musical acts and fresh oysters on the half shell. You’ll hear him before you see him.
Peruva Auto – Tamales
Peruva is serving up hot, delicious tamales — the perfect winter night street food. Grab one and keep strolling.

Halloween Parade
Annual Fairfax Halloween Parade is on Halloween!
The parade will begin 5pm at the Fairfax Movie Theatre on Broadway Blvd and will follow the sidewalk down to Bolinas Rd then left down to Elsie Lane and cross over to Bolinas Park and the "Haunted Grove" for fun and music. Be sure to enter the Halloween Costume Contest! Little kids, big kids, groups/family.
Please remember to stay on the sidewalk all the way to Bolinas Park.
There will be trick or treating at each of the storefronts on the way.
